The Rural Empowerment Association for Community Help (REACH) is located in Duplin County and seeks to empower community members to ensure they have their basic human needs met, as well as have equitable access to quality education, employment, housing, recreation, and programs for youth.

REACH is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that achieves its vision through work in partnership with research universities and academics, local and national advocacy groups, and the dedication of community members in Duplin and surrounding areas.

NEWS

We’re the experts on our community’s needs, what’s happening in our community, and much of the science regarding how we are disproportionately impacted by certain kinds of pollution. REACH leadership and members work with news media, digital platforms, and more to educate the public on our research, advocacy, and community’s needs. Read on
